Job Summary

Lead technical network service design for a large-scale network modernization program supporting public-sector clients across Maryland. Own service catalogue, service level, capacity, availability, IT service continuity, information security, and supplier management. Define target architecture and produce HLD/LLD artifacts, govern standards and patterns, and drive end-to-end delivery across backbone, SD-WAN, security services, observability, and operations integration. Provide executive communication, multi-vendor leadership, and hands-on design oversight.

Key Responsibilities

•Define service requirements and translate business/customer/technical needs into network service specifications.
•Create end-to-end service designs, including HLD/LLD artifacts and documentation of capacity, routing, resilience, and operational processes.
•Coordinate across technical teams and vendors to present roadmaps, reference architectures, and proof points and ensure alignment from design to run.
•Ensure operational readiness by defining support models (fault management, monitoring, maintenance) and preparing handover to NOC/SOC.
•Manage service impact of project changes by assessing how upgrades affect existing services and ensuring continuity, resilience, and minimal customer interruption.

Key Requirements

•Serve as a technical leader for a large-scale network modernization program for public-sector clients.
•Translate business, customer, and technical requirements into clear network service specifications.
•Develop end-to-end designs and produce HLD/LLD artifacts while governing standards and patterns.
