Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • •Establish and enforce critical-to-quality process controls and determine supplier manufacturing limits and critical process CpKs.
  • •Review new product designs with CM partners to perform DFx and process characterization during development for mass production launch readiness.
  • •Monitor SMT process KPI data during NPI and pre-production builds, drive corrective actions, and meet six sigma quality goals.
  • •Transfer products from prototype to mass production and work with CMs/ODMs to implement new materials and improve assembly/system-level manufacturing practices.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Sciences, or Chemistry.
  • •8+ years developing and using PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes at the board assembly and system levels.
  • •Extensive expertise in PCBA technologies and manufacturing, with a strong background in quality and supplier management.
  • •Proven expertise with complex PCB assemblies, materials, and signal integrity challenges in high-speed designs.
  • •Ability to communicate and collaborate with hardware/signal integrity/reliability engineering teams (including domestic and offshore) and establish strong relationships.
