Key Responsibilities

  • •Meet or exceed company safety standards and comply with procedures and engineering practices.
  • •Review and understand preliminary design packages, P&IDs, and plant engineering specifications related to piping/mechanical design.
  • •Coordinate piping and mechanical equipment design between project managers and engineering contractors in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Interface with plant personnel and contractors at the site to understand design considerations and support project success.
  • •Coordinate walkdowns, produce material takeoffs/labor estimates, track construction progress, and maintain master redline markup drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •20+ years industrial experience in the design field, preferably chemical manufacturing.
  • •Highly experienced in the design of process piping and mechanical equipment.
  • •Ability to operate self-directed and drive the design process forward.
  • •Ability to read and act when project work hits roadblocks, using engineering documents and specifications.
  • •Proficiency in MicroStation and Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook).
