Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide project technical support and take responsibility for design of transmission projects within the HV primary substations scope.
  • •Prepare design deliverables for primary electrical systems, including substation configurations, equipment layouts, and supporting single-line and interconnection documentation.
  • •Perform system analysis such as short-circuit force calculations, busbar sizing, fault current analysis, and equipment protection design.
  • •Design earthing/grounding and lightning protection systems, and develop auxiliary systems design and review (cooling, auxiliary power, battery systems).
  • •Coordinate with civil teams and external vendors to integrate foundations, steel structures, cable routes, and equipment specifications, schedules, and procurement support.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in the relevant field.
  • •HV Plant Design experience for large EHV grid substations.
  • •Experience with grid substation design in a global consultancy environment and leading large design engineering teams (preferred).
  • •10+ years of work experience (preferred), including grid utilities experience and exposure to international standards (preferred).
