Job Summary

Build and improve TikTok Local Services search and recommendation systems for hospitality, dining, and leisure. You’ll work on full-stack retrieval and ranking, including query analysis, relevance modeling, coarse-to-fine/blended ranking, vector recall, and personalized behavior modeling. Apply large-scale machine learning to predict CTR/CVR and optimize conversion efficiency for billions of users, while supporting ecosystem growth for the local video service business.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the local video service business to improve user discovery of hospitality, dining, and leisure experiences.
•Improve search experience in local services and promote ecosystem growth.
•Use large-scale machine learning for search and recommendation to improve shopping experiences and enhance conversion efficiency.
•Design and implement local services search algorithms across the full stack, including query analysis and ranking (relevance, recall, coarse ranking, fine ranking, blended ranking).
•Build personalized behavior modeling for relevance computation and CTR/CVR prediction, including vector recall and value blending.

Key Requirements

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, including NLP (Natural Language Processing).
•Exceptional coding skills with solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
•Proficiency in Linux development environments.
•Prior experience in search, recommendation, or advertisement algorithms (preferred).
