Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and enhance pricing models, elasticity analysis, scenario testing, and forecasting to support pricing decisions and outcomes.
  • •Develop and manage mortgage pricing across new business, product transfers, and retention, balancing customer value, competitiveness, profitability, and risk-adjusted returns.
  • •Translate funding, capital, liquidity, and credit risk considerations into effective product-level pricing recommendations and explain trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • •Continuously improve mortgage pricing capability through data, automation, and process enhancements to support growth and customer outcomes.
  • •Ensure pricing models are governed, monitored, and maintained; partner with Product and Finance teams for approvals, controls, monitoring, and post-implementation review while supporting compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in UK mortgage pricing, product management, portfolio management, commercial finance, or a closely related lending discipline.
  • •Deep knowledge of mortgage products, customer segments, distribution channels, retention strategies, and mortgage profitability drivers.
  • •Strong understanding of funds transfer pricing, swap curves, liquidity and capital costs, credit risk, expected loss, margin, and risk-adjusted return measures.
  • •Advanced analytical and modelling capabilities using tools/data platforms such as SQL, SAS, Python, GCP, BigQuery or Looker.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK mortgage regulation, Consumer Duty, fair value principles, responsible lending, pricing governance, and model/data controls.
