Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide clear, accountable leadership for the Primary School, delivering a strategic vision and improvement plan aligned with school direction.
  • •Secure consistently high standards of teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment across FS1 to Year 8, including rigorous quality assurance.
  • •Lead pupil welfare, safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and pastoral care, ensuring child protection is central to daily practice.
  • •Lead, develop, and hold accountable primary leadership, teaching, and support teams, including performance management and staff wellbeing.
  • •Ensure effective day-to-day operations and compliance readiness, representing the school to parents and the wider community.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
  • •A recognized leadership qualification (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH, Postgraduate Diploma, or master’s degree in educational leadership).
  • •Minimum 8 years’ experience in education, including substantial senior leadership experience.
  • •Proven record leading school improvement and securing high standards of teaching and pupil outcomes.
  • •Strong knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum, assessment, and pastoral care, including experience with inspection and regulatory compliance.
