Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform blood draws using venipuncture, capillary, or fingerstick methods with accurate patient identification and proper sample labeling.
  • •Prepare, maintain, and organize sterile equipment; follow cleanliness and hygiene protocols and handle biohazard materials safely.
  • •Accurately record and document patient information, procedures performed, and specimens collected; transport specimens to appropriate laboratories.
  • •Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions and report concerns to supervisors.
  • •Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory technicians, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines, and support quality improvement and training activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate of training in an approved Phlebotomy program or a 1-year Diploma, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a Degree in a health-related field.
  • •Minimum one (1) year practical experience as a Phlebotomist in a reputed medical laboratory; alternatively not less than two (2) years of medical laboratory experience.
  • •Currently licensed in the country of origin and with DOH/DHA/MOH license to practice in UAE.
  • •Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • •Ability to learn and handle automation & IT programs is desirable.
