Key Responsibilities

•Interpret building, life safety, and fire code requirements (ICC/NFPA; IBC; NFPA 101).
•Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction on fire safety designs and proposals.
•Provide subject matter expertise for fire alarm applications (detection, notification, mass notification, radio systems, interfaces for smoke control).
•Produce fire alarm/life safety strategy documents to inform design decisions.
•Design and commission fire alarm/life safety systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 114,000 - 157,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering with prior fire and life safety design experience.
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, or related engineering discipline with a P.E. license OR NICET Level III with a minimum of 8 years of fire alarm industry experience.
