Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and lead design packages for roads, rail/light rail, bus infrastructure, and greenway/active travel projects from concept through construction.
  • •Apply UK and/or Irish design standards to produce safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • •Deliver high-quality client deliverables within quality standards, time, and budget constraints.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and specialists (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental).
  • •Support project stakeholders through technical challenges and statutory approval processes, and mentor apprentices to help develop the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering (or similar).
  • •Demonstrate progression toward Chartership in the near future (or be close to submission).
  • •Post-graduate experience in relevant areas such as civil engineering, highways, public transport, and greenways, plus NEC and/or contract management experience.
  • •Knowledge of UK and Irish design standards applicable to the work (e.g., DMRB, DMURS, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design Manual).
  • •Knowledge of contract documentation and statutory planning/design approvals (including EIA/NIS/CPO and associated planning processes).
