Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring for international Year One Foundation Program students in general chemistry and related topics.
  • •Help students strengthen chemistry concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and apply theoretical knowledge to laboratory settings.
  • •Clarify course material and guide students on assignments, homework, quizzes, lab reports, and exam preparation with clear explanations.
  • •Collaborate with the Kaplan Student Success team to monitor student progress and provide feedback on academic development.
  • •Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages engagement and confidence.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in or completed a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • •Strong university-level chemistry proficiency, including theoretical and practical components.
  • •Prior tutoring/teaching or laboratory instruction experience, particularly with international students, is preferred.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts clearly and in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • •Patience, adaptability, and an ability to support students with varying English proficiency while working independently and managing time effectively.
