Key Responsibilities

  • •Support cultural resource investigations by completing assigned fieldwork tasks (monitoring, survey, testing, data recovery).

  • •Use digital data collection software to support field data collection and contribute to DPR-523 forms.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree in anthropology, archaeology, or historical archaeology (MS/MA preferred).
  • •0-1 years related archaeological field experience in California.
  • •Working knowledge of cultural resources and environmental regulations and North American archaeology, including Southern California, Mojave Desert, and Great Basin.
  • •Experience with ESRI FieldMaps and familiarity with NHPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA and relevant state laws.
  • •Able to perform pedestrian survey and carry up to 25 lbs; willing to travel to remote project locations for up to 10-day rotations.
