Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to ensure reliable data inputs, mentor teammates through reviews and pairing, and participate in sprint planning, retros, and on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

•Raise the technical bar for the data platform by improving warehouse, data lake, and ETL/ELT architecture to scale with patient and customer growth.
•Drive data projects end-to-end by writing design documents, shipping early versions, and iterating to production-grade systems.
•Evaluate and select appropriate tools for batch and streaming processing, table formats, orchestration, and query engines.
•Support AI/ML efforts by providing reliable data needed by AI engineers and building data pipelines that feed ML model inputs.
•Multiply team output through mentoring, code/design reviews and pairing, and participate in sprint planning, retros, and on-call rotation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years of engineering experience with a strong data engineering focus, building and scaling pipelines processing terabytes of data and millions of events per day.
•Experience across the data stack (ingestion, storage, processing, warehousing, serving) with tradeoff awareness across cost, latency, correctness, and operability.
•Hands-on experience with modern cloud-native data stacks, including Spark, open table formats (Parquet, Iceberg, Delta) on S3, and warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
•Strong software engineering fundamentals with production code (TypeScript shop; Python in data/ML workflows).
•Experience mentoring or guiding engineers through reviews, pairing, design feedback, or onboarding.
