Homeowners Assistance Counselor

Counsel consumer and mortgage loan customers in default by initiating contact and guiding them toward workout alternatives. Evaluate each borrower’s situation and collateral risk to recommend and pursue loss mitigation options such as forbearance, repayment plans, modifications, pre-foreclosure/short sales, and deed in lieu. Manage documentation, record collection activity, and escalate or coordinate next steps with supervisors, legal, repossession, and collection agencies while meeting investor and regulatory guidelines.
