Job Summary

Provide mechanical design engineering support for a turbine airfoil casting and machining product line at the Asheville, North Carolina site. You’ll work in an integrated product team to deliver producibility improvements, handle non-conformances, investigate field events, and execute class I engineering changes. Collaborate across Component IPTs, Engineering Support to Operations, Asheville Operations, and Quality, while supporting deployment of Model Based Definition, Manufacture and Inspection (MB-DMI).

Key Responsibilities

•Provide design engineering support for the Asheville casting and machining product line.
•Serve as part of a cross-discipline Integrated Product Team to execute deliverables such as producibility improvements and non-conformance dispositions.
•Support existing products and new product design technologies introduced at the Asheville manufacturing site.
•Coordinate integration across CIPTs, part-responsible IPTs, Engineering Support to Operations, Asheville Operations, and Quality.
•Execute mechanical design engineering standard work, communicate with IPT and program customers, and support MB-DMI deployment at Asheville.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 3 years relevant experience.
•U.S. citizenship is required.
•Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
•Turbine airfoil engineering experience.
•Proficiency with GD&T ASME Y14.5M-1994 and 2018.
