Job Summary

Own IT infrastructure operations inside the data center, ensuring customer server environments are secure, operational, and maintain 99.999% uptime. Provide customer support using monitoring and ticketing tools, troubleshoot hardware, storage, LAN, and network device issues, and perform server OS administration and remote access restoration. Execute customer configuration maintenance, cabling, and device installation/replacement while adhering to security, health & safety, and 5S practices.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Use custom monitoring software and an internal ticketing system to provide customer support.
•Troubleshoot and replace failed hardware components on x86-based servers.
•Troubleshoot operating system storage issues, including file system, disk management, and RAID technologies.
•Troubleshoot LAN and connectivity issues and re-establish remote access to customer configurations via SSH, Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services, or Remote Access Controllers.
•Perform troubleshooting, configuration, and replacement of network and storage devices, including customer configuration maintenance, cabling, and device installation.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with further technical education advantageous.
•Previous experience or ability to show familiarity building, repairing, or upgrading hardware components.
•Experience in a customer service oriented position is preferred.
•Industry-recognized certifications in operating systems, networking, security, and/or storage technologies are preferred.
•Experience with Dell PowerEdge and HP ProLiant rack servers and related networking/storage platforms is preferred, plus ability to work a flexible 24x7x365 schedule.
