Job Summary

Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling as an embedded behavioral health provider, supporting personnel and families under high-intensity operational demands. Deliver outcome-based nurse practitioner services, including preventive care and health maintenance, and diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions within clinical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate staff through evidence-based lectures and in-service training, and consult leadership using de-identified behavioral health trends.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide outcome-based nurse practitioner services for routine, acute, and chronic conditions, including immunizations, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling within privileges granted by the MTF.
•Technically direct and teach staff through evidence-based educational lectures and participation in in-service training.
•Diagnose and treat clients per accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
•Promote preventive care and health maintenance through education and counseling to support resilience and recovery.
•Provide command consultation using de-identified morale and behavioral health trends, attend meetings for case discussion and continuous improvement, and document encounters in enterprise systems.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 111,155 - 150,385 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE).
•Current, full, active, and unrestricted graduate professional nurse license in a U.S. state/territory/commonwealth or D.C.
•Board certification as a PMHNP (ANCC, AANP, or a recognized national specialty certification organization).
•Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in independent practice of clinical psychiatric nursing.
•US citizenship required; 2 years prior experience in DoD or VA setting and experience treating PTS, TBI, and chronic pain.
