Key Responsibilities

  • •Review work orders, determine tools/equipment/parts needed, and use SAP to create work orders.
  • •Respond to emergency calls and diagnose/repair complex issues using blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
  • •Perform hands-on maintenance and equipment repair: disassemble, troubleshoot, replace and reassemble parts, and test for proper functionality.
  • •Install and maintain mechanical equipment, piping, and electrical controls; install new utilities including electrical, water, gas, and drain lines.
  • •Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to preventive/predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) plus 1+ years related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 4 years direct experience.
  • •Vocational/technical diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with team personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including reading/working from manuals and preparing daily reports.
