  • •Lead projects end-to-end, from discovery with Product, Payment Operations, and KYC/Verification through solution design, build, rollout, and monitoring.
  • •Shape risk decision-making (what to assess, measure, and which manual steps to automate) as part of the system design.
  • •Balance protection against user experience so decisions are both safer and practical for legitimate organizers.
  • •Own reliability of what you ship and help raise the engineering bar across the team.
  • •Build and optimize backend systems for exposure, reserves, disputes, balances, payout history, and verification so decisions move faster.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of product engineering experience, with 4+ years dedicated to risk, fraud, or underwriting systems that move real money.
  • •Deep expertise in systems that decide about money (exposure/credit models, decision/rules engines, holds, reserves, payout limits, transaction monitoring, and ledgers).
  • •Strong backend mastery in Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, Python, Go, Java, or Node.js, with agility to ramp up on Ruby quickly.
  • •Direct production on-call experience, including writing post-mortems and leading incident response.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including cross-functional collaboration in a distributed, multicultural environment.
