Job Summary

Provide a wide range of banking services for customers, including opening, closing, and maintaining deposit accounts, renewing time deposits, and resolving account inquiries and maintenance requests. In collaboration with the Teller Supervisor, help develop and motivate lobby associates and cross-sell bank products. Use your knowledge of deposit and loan products to identify sales/referral opportunities and support accurate reporting, records, and data entry in the banking center.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform financial service functions including opening, closing, and maintaining checking, savings, time deposits, and IRAs, plus working with safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and consumer loans.
•Answer customer questions and resolve issues by listening, collecting information, and providing accurate answers.
•Process new accounts and changes to existing accounts (e.g., name, address, and product changes) while maintaining customer privacy and accuracy of data entry.
•Identify client sales opportunities using lead lists and strategies to generate additional business and meet sales production goals.
•In collaboration with the Teller Supervisor, help develop, train, and motivate lobby associates and support required reports, recordkeeping, and year-end/banking center activities.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Good understanding of financial services and products provided.
•Zero up to 3 years of new account experience.
•Complete required Personal Banker Mentor/Personal Banker Learning Plan (and related learning/teller plan if applicable).
•Ability to complete core account servicing tasks such as opening/maintaining checking, savings, time deposits, IRAs, and performing customer file maintenance.
