Job Summary

Build and lead ClickHouse’s Site Reliability Engineering practices to ensure reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure running ClickHouse databases. Partner with teams across Control Plane, Dataplane, Core, Security, Support, and Operations to design fault-tolerant distributed systems, own incident management and blameless postmortems, and drive continuous improvements. Develop platforms and tools that improve operational and engineering efficiency for ClickHouse Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure, highly available systems for ClickHouse.
•Establish and manage SLOs and SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud.
•Ensure monitoring and alerting are in place across infrastructure components (Dataplane, Control Plane, and ClickHouse Core).
•Enhance incident response processes and run blameless post-mortems for outages, including customer communication via Support.
•Plan and drive Chaos initiatives and manage on-call processes to coordinate escalations and minimize downtime.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•At least 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.
•Previous experience using ClickHouse in production.
•Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python.
•Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and distributed databases/SQL, with ClickHouse being a major plus.
