Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy to help patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • •Review physician referrals, prescriptions, and patient medical records to determine appropriate therapy.
  • •Conduct tests and measurements of strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
  • •Prepare written treatment programs and administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • •Stay current with advances and evidence-based treatment protocols in physical therapy.

Key Requirements

  • •BS Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, plus the required clinical internship for professional registration.
  • •Possession of a current license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • •Assess patient condition and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
  • •Test and measure patient strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
  • •Develop or revise treatment programs and written physical rehabilitation plans based on patient evaluation data.
