Job Summary

Analyst responsible for project controls on Ground Engineering programs in BC & Yukon, focusing on cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule performance. Partner with geotechnical engineers and project managers to manage baselines, metrics, and risk, while mentoring junior team and enhancing reporting and dashboards across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor cost budgets and progress and take timely action to address issues.
•Manage budgets, forecasts, accruals, cashflow, and cost tracking across a portfolio of ground engineering projects.
•Coordinate with the Project Team to validate progress, scope, and forecasts.
•Mentor and support junior and intermediate project controls team members, strengthening project controls capability.
•Contribute to monthly project reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages for project and business leadership

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 89,800 - 118,900 annually

Key Requirements

•Diploma or degree in Project Management, Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline
•7-9 years of progressive experience in project controls or cost controls within consulting, engineering, or construction environments
•Strong proficiency in Oracle Financial tools, Excel, forecasting, and financial analysis, including variance analysis
•Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera P6; ERP or project financial systems experience is a strong asset
•Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and confidence working with senior project team members
