Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead small-scale generation, transmission, or distribution project(s), or support project management activities for larger projects under a more senior PM.
  • •Manage program/project activities across safety, budget, schedule, scope, resources, compliance, and quality; apply appropriate project controls and integrate processes across PGE organizations.
  • •Serve as PM for small-scale projects, accountable for development, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout under the defined success measures.
  • •Provide regular stakeholder updates via meetings, reports, presentations, and electronic communications; accurately report status, schedules, financials, problems, and risks.
  • •Lead a multidisciplined matrix team, coordinate collaboration across PGE organizations and outside vendors/consultants, ensure compliance with project management methodologies, and take corrective action as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •Typically 3+ years of experience in project management, construction management, engineering, or related fields (utility experience highly preferred).
  • •Foundation in formal project management principles and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, project documentation, stakeholder communications, and project risks.
  • •Experience supporting renewable energy projects, electric utility infrastructure, transmission line projects, permitting activities, contractor management, and capital project delivery is highly valued.
  • •Familiarity with work management systems and tools such as Maximo, and intermediate proficiency with MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
