Job Summary

Design and deliver mechanical systems for building projects (healthcare, commercial, higher education and civic) in a collaborative Property & Buildings team. Lead HVAC, hydronic and plumbing design, participate from concept through construction, analyze site data, prepare specifications and reports, ensure code compliance, mentor junior staff, and work with multidisciplinary teams in a responsive Los Angeles office.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform mechanical engineering design and technical delivery across healthcare, commercial, higher education, and civic projects
•Support design of HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, plumbing, and building systems
•Participate in the full project lifecycle, from concept development through construction and close-out
•Analyze and interpret data from site conditions, drawings, and technical documents to support engineering solutions
•Prepare and contribute to technical reports, specifications, and design documentation

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 107,500 - 156,600 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
•5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design for building systems
•Experience supporting projects across healthcare and/or commercial, higher education, or civic sectors
•Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical design principles
•Experience supporting projects from design through construction
