Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute routine and advanced mammalian cell culture activities across adherent and suspension cultures, monitoring cell health and troubleshooting issues.
  • •Manage cell banks, including inventory, quality checks, STR profiling, and mycoplasma status, and coordinate procurement to ensure uninterrupted cell supply.
  • •Perform flow cytometry/FACS acquisition and analysis for cell characterization and quality checks.
  • •Support automation by translating manual protocols into automated/semi-automated workflows, executing/troubleshooting runs, and comparing outcomes to manual benchmarks.
  • •Maintain a clean, safe, organized BSL-2 lab environment and mentor/train junior associates on aseptic technique and cell-type-specific handling.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences with 4+ years of hands-on cell culture experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years.
  • •Demonstrated experience culturing a broad range of mammalian cell types with strong aseptic technique and contamination-free results.
  • •Comfort managing multiple concurrent research projects and independently troubleshooting culture issues in a non-GMP environment.
  • •Hands-on experience with flow cytometry/FACS acquisition and analysis, and with liquid handlers or automated/semi-automated lab systems.
  • •Strong data analysis and documentation skills (ELN or similar), including interpreting cell health statistics/gating.
