Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain, monitor and operate the network environment in line with SMBC policies and procedures.
•Provide technical support to IT departments on network-related matters and BAU issues.
•Monitor and improve network and datacentre environments; manage capacity reporting and utilisation data.
•Assist with hardware/software lifecycle management to avoid end-of-life or end-of-support risks.
•Document technical configurations and ensure up-to-date, accurate as-installed representations; mentor junior team members and participate in on-call/on-site support as required.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies and solutions, including CCNA/CCNP certifications; knowledge of Check Point, Palo Alto, and F5 firewalls and related security concepts.
•Strong background in traditional routing/switching, Software Defined Networking, and network security technologies; experience with SD-Access and ACI is a plus.
•Proven ability to manage large network environments, deliver IT projects, and provide technical escalation support.
•Familiarity with ITIL foundations and documentation practices; ability to maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
•Willingness to work unsociable hours, participate in an on-call rota, and undertake occasional international travel.
