Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute enterprise strategy for chemical safety and food toxicology, including standards, policies, and risk-based decision criteria for chemical contaminants and packaging/food contact materials.
  • •Act as subject matter expert for toxicological risk assessment, chemical hazard evaluation, exposure assessment, and interpretation of scientific and regulatory information.
  • •Provide chemical safety review and approval for ingredients and food contact materials through commercialization and ingredient approval processes.
  • •Partner with internal and external laboratories to guide testing strategies, method selection, data interpretation, proficiency expectations, and escalation of results.
  • •Lead technical response for chemical safety incidents, supplier non-conformance, consumer/customer inquiries, regulatory requests, and other escalations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree.
  • •15+ years of progressive experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, ingredient, packaging, or related technical environments.
  • •Demonstrated leadership in chemical safety, food toxicology, ingredient risk assessment, analytical chemistry, and food contact materials.
  • •Experience leading enterprise technical governance, cross-functional risk decisions, external laboratory strategies, incident response, and regulatory/customer-facing technical matters.
