Key Responsibilities

  • •Write functional and design specifications for system software to manage hardware components.
  • •Independently implement solutions in C, C++, and Python for small system-software problems.
  • •Write test plan specifications and implement automated test programs to execute test cases.
  • •Debug and fix problems found by automated tests and work with the team on larger routing protocol issues.
  • •Collaborate with customer support engineers and system test engineers to analyze network/test issues and deliver fixes via new releases or patches.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 2+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
  • •Knowledge of C, C++, and/or Python.
  • •Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
  • •Understanding of L2/L3 networking and at least one of: RIP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, or PIM; and/or Layer 2 technologies like 802.1d bridging, Spanning Tree, 802.1ax LACP, and 802.1AB LLDP.
  • •Ability to utilize, test, and debug packet forwarding engines and hardware vendor libraries; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
