Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain top-level requirements, system design, operation, and performance for stage propulsion components
  • •Develop and maintain thermal/fluid models of the stage propulsion systems
  • •Generate and maintain stage control system timing, valve sequencing, and mission design; develop CONOPs through flight software configuration
  • •Support production, test, and launch operations, including reviewing/approving checkouts and non-conformance dispositions and performing final inspections
  • •Generate and maintain stage test plans; support stage testing operations, review test data, validate performance, and provide system acceptance sign-off

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering
  • •1 year of mechanical or fluid system design experience
  • •Experience working with pressurized fluid systems and components (pneumatic systems, cryogenic systems, pressure control devices, valves, diffusers, fittings)
  • •Strong first-principles understanding of thermodynamics and fluid flow (incompressible and compressible)
  • •Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
