Job Summary

Maintain and repair equipment and facility assets to keep continuous production running safely at the Waterloo KPR plant. Troubleshoot day-to-day mechanical issues, perform hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and general mechanical work (including some welding), and set up and adjust production line machinery. Ensure compliance with Tyson and USDA guidelines, complete daily documentation, and attend required safety and food safety training.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures.
•Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production by repairing and maintaining operating conditions and troubleshooting issues.
•Perform work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.
•Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation as required.
•Support safety and food safety responsibilities, comply with company and USDA policies/guidelines, and report known or suspected violations.

Key Requirements

•At least 1 year of mechanic work experience (or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program).
•At least 6 months of continuous employment with one employer in the past 2 years.

•Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures.
•Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job (including PPE use and lifting 70+ lbs).
