Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support material project teams, driving change management activities from design/scoping through launch.
  • •Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement and analyze requisitions for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements.
  • •Maintain PFEP and item master information, including ABC classification, and ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock.
  • •Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, evaluate supplier performance, identify cost/cash flow opportunities, and plan KanBan/supplier replenishment.
  • •Implement visual management systems and manufacturing technologies (e.g., RFID, pick to light, VGV) and support training and launch transition activities.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree or 10+ years minimum planner/buyer manufacturing experience.
  • •APICS (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • •In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement and distribution) and proficiency with ERP and Microsoft Office.
  • •Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes; understanding Kanban and JIT systems.
  • •Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments, plus visual management systems.
