Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide wet utility design and support Senior Engineer by ensuring designs and drawings are checked and reviewed to required standards.
  • •Support understanding of project scope and deliverables, assisting Senior Engineer to complete projects on time and meet deadlines.
  • •Provide regular work status updates on progress, risks, issues, concerns, or changes; respond to and track Senior Engineer/line manager counterpart concerns.
  • •Attend and contribute to team and project meetings; maintain team coordination and positive morale.
  • •Coordinate with design team members and direct CAD Technicians; manage multiple projects and embed Health & Safety and sustainability into work practices.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng (Civil or Environmental Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience delivering wet utilities designs and calculations for pumping stations, sewerage and stormwater networks (gravity and pumped), storage reservoirs, and treatment works (potable water or wastewater), including treated sewage effluent.
  • •Experience using Water GEMS, Sewer GEMS, and Storm CAD.
  • •Awareness of GCC standards and manuals.
  • •Computer literate with experience in appropriate modelling software or equivalent Excel spreadsheet calculations.
