Job Summary

Join AECOM’s Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory team to deliver sustainability and carbon services for major public and private sector clients. You’ll support sustainability and whole-life carbon requirements, develop and review low-carbon strategies from early design through construction, and deliver assessment and appraisal schemes such as BREEAM and DREAM (with LEED and/or WELL advantageous). You’ll also support project delivery, bidding, and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Support clients to develop and understand sustainability and decarbonisation requirements.
•Develop, deliver, and review whole life carbon reduction strategies across scoping mechanisms (e.g., GLA, LETI, RIBA, RICS, BREEAM).
•Liaise with clients and designers to develop sustainability and decarbonisation strategies from early design through construction.
•Deliver assessment certification schemes (BREEAM and DREAM) and sustainability appraisals (SAW and SEEAM).
•Support project management and programming, contribute to bidding/tender responses, and mentor junior staff where suitable.

Key Requirements

•Good knowledge of the building design and construction process.
•Experience undertaking whole life cycle assessments (WLCAs) using OneClick LCA and delivering assessment certification schemes, especially BREEAM and DREAM.
•Experience with sustainability appraisals such as SAW and SEEAM.
•Strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret data and apply it to practical sustainability solutions.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and methodical problem-solving approach.
