Job Summary

Systems Engineer to support a sales team across the SADC region, handling pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales; lead technical aspects of deals, run RFIs/RFPs, participate in POCs, and translate customer requirements into Fortinet solutions. You’ll serve as the primary technical contact, collaborate with partners, and continuously deepen knowledge of Fortinet products to outpace competitors.

Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

•Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with customers, from RFIs to RFPs/RFQs, including project management and active participation in POCs with internal and partner teams.
•Listen to and understand customer technical requirements, translating them into solutions that outperform competitors.
•Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, collaborating with the sales team.
•Continuously deepen knowledge of Fortinet products and competitive landscape to provide long-lasting protection against evolving threats.
•Position Fortinet solutions effectively, remotely or in person, and manage time across multiple deals to maintain a positive customer experience.

Key Requirements

•Experience as a pre-sales engineer or systems engineer involved in end-to-end technical deals and RFIs/RFPs.
•Ability to listen to customer requirements and translate them into effective Fortinet solutions.
•Strong communication skills with the ability to present through whiteboarding and technical documents.
•Experience working across the SADC region and engaging with customers/partners.
•Fluency in English and Portuguese is essential.
