Job Summary

Lead a backend engineering team responsible for the scalability, reliability, and performance of Healthie’s core billing, insurance, and payments infrastructure. Own squad execution and roadmap delivery, partner with Product and engineering peers on architectural decisions, and drive best practices for secure, performant, maintainable systems. Coach and mentor engineers in a pod-based structure while adopting AI-enabled, automation-first engineering workflows to improve velocity and quality.

•Lead, mentor, and coach engineers in your squad to foster technical excellence, growth, and collaboration.
•Own execution of your squad’s roadmaps, ensuring clear prioritization, accountability, and delivery of high-impact initiatives.
•Partner with peers across Engineering and Product to shape architectural decisions and drive long-term system reliability.
•Champion engineering best practices to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable code.
•Create an environment where engineers feel empowered, supported, and motivated to do their best work.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 190,000 - 210,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years as a software engineer and 2+ years leading teams, ideally in SaaS.
•Hands-on experience with Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara.
•Broad foundation in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
•Experience building or collaborating on mobile applications (iOS, Android, or React Native) and designing APIs for mobile experiences.
•Proven ability to coach engineers, set priorities, and drive execution while fostering growth, collaboration, and accountability.
