Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform navigational watchkeeping duties per STCW, COLREG, and company procedures to ensure safe vessel operation.
  • •Assist the Master in voyage planning, navigation, and dredging operations, and support safe execution of marine activities.
  • •Maintain and update navigational charts, publications, ECDIS, and other bridge documentation; monitor navigational equipment and bridge instruments.
  • •Act as the designated Safety Officer, ensuring HSE policy compliance, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures; oversee safety readiness of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
  • •Supervise deck operations and assist in monitoring hopper loading and vessel stability during dredging; prepare reports and maintain bridge and safety logs.

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate of Competency as Officer in charge of Navigation Watch.
  • •Basic and advanced STCW training along with valid medical.
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience on Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger.
  • •Ability to perform navigational watchkeeping duties in accordance with STCW and COLREG.
  • •Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and company policies.
