Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, splice, and test copper cables for projects, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • •Perform reel, continuity, and conformance testing using industry-standard equipment (e.g., OTDR, T-Berd).
  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing copper networks, locating and resolving faults to ensure service continuity.
  • •Install, configure, and enable residential and small business telecommunication services such as POTS, HSI, VDSL, FTTH, and networking.
  • •Read and interpret service orders, repair tickets, technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and maps to execute work accurately.
Travel: Low travel

  • •Must work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • •Drive company-provided vehicle. Requires a valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. May require a CDL.
  • •May require compliance with State and Federal Department of Transportation Drive Qualification Regulations, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • •Requires ability to climb and work at elevations (e.g., from ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet.
