Job Summary

Senior Compliance Advisory Officer to support Adyen’s Compliance Advisory & Oversight team by providing pragmatic, strategic compliance advice, coordinating due diligence, and strengthening the compliance framework for payments/fintech operations. Will partner with Regulatory, Legal, Risk, and Commercial teams, lead Enhanced Due Diligence efforts, and help scale risk governance in a fast-growing, global environment from the Shanghai office.

Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Represent Compliance toward commercial and operational teams, coordinating with Compliance, Regulatory, Legal and Risk functions and conducting trainings.
•Provide ad-hoc Compliance advice to internal stakeholders and customers, deconstructing complex challenges and aligning solutions with risk appetite.
•Perform and coordinate Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) risk assessments, assembling expertise from multiple functions for customer acceptance advice to stakeholders including Senior Management.
•Strengthen and scale Adyen’s Compliance framework in line with risk appetite and strategic objectives.
•Challenge the status-quo by leveraging data and technology to improve Compliance processes.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in a 2LoD Compliance function at a Payment Service Provider, FinTech or Financial Institution.
•Robust knowledge of regulatory and licensing regimes of payment/e-money institutions, AML/CFT risks, and familiarity with Card Scheme definitions and rules.
•Analytical thinker who can deconstruct complex Compliance challenges and convey components clearly to diverse stakeholders.
•Strong initiative and self-motivation aligned with a fast-growing business.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor advice to different audiences.
