Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with students individually or in groups to support career management and career decision-making.
  • •Use assessment tools to identify students’ interests, values, beliefs, lifestyle preferences, aptitudes, and connect them to career and tertiary education options.
  • •Lead or facilitate career workshops, including employment search strategies, résumé and career portfolio building, and interview skills.
  • •Collaborate with local agencies, businesses, and universities/educational providers to access career planning resources and enrollment opportunities.
  • •Provide labour market information, market students to potential employers, refer students to appropriate services, and complete related administrative record keeping.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work or related subject).
  • •Certificate, diploma or degree in career development (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • •Patience, understanding, and ability to listen non-judgmentally, with objectivity and tact.
  • •Ability to facilitate group sessions (about eight to 20 people) and manage planning/administrative tasks effectively.
