Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform independent quantitative and qualitative validation, testing, tuning, and optimization of AML rule-based and machine learning surveillance models, filtering systems, and detection logic.
  • •Serve as a technical bridge by collaborating with software, data, and data science teams to evaluate model implementations, test data pipelines, and support remediation.
  • •Execute statistical analyses and tuning methodologies to calibrate surveillance models, maximizing risk detection while reducing false positives.
  • •Conduct data validation and logic testing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and end-to-end reliability of data pipelines feeding compliance models.
  • •Author defensible validation reports and change/issue management documentation, explaining model theory, testing logic, performance findings, and recommendations for stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative, technical, or financial field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Finance.
  • •5+ years of experience in AML, Financial Crimes, or risk management within financial services/fintech, focused on model validation, quantitative analysis, or surveillance system management.
  • •3+ years of experience verifying, validating, testing, or tuning AML rule-based systems and/or machine learning models, with knowledge of Model Risk Management (MRM) principles and governance.
  • •Proficiency in SQL and experience with quantitative tools or programming languages such as Python or R for querying large datasets and performing statistical analysis.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex technical concepts and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
