Key Responsibilities

•Provide day-to-day legal advice, counsel, and services to regulatory, commercial, and business development teams.
•Handle regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including certificate, rate, and tariff issues.
•Negotiate, draft, and implement long-term transportation and storage agreements, precedent agreements, and regulatory pleadings.
•Support operating and construction agreements and joint venture agreements, along with other commercial agreements.
•Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across Kinder Morgan office locations and business segments.

•At least 7 years of legal experience with a reputable law firm, in-house with an energy company, or a combination of both.
•Adpt at administrative law and understanding how federal, state, and local statutes and regulations impact Kinder Morgan’s regulated businesses.
•Strong experience with FERC regulatory matters, including certificate, rate, and tariff matters.
•Ability to negotiate, draft, and implement long-term transportation and storage agreements and other commercial agreements.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across Kinder Morgan offices and business segments.
