Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct medical, financial, and compliance assessments under underwriting guidelines and risk framework, within delegated authority and service level agreements.
  • •Manage referral processes to optimize capacity for ultra-large risks, including oversight of total exposure with reinsurers.
  • •Build and maintain relationships with partners to resolve complex underwriting queries related to risk selection.
  • •Support training and development of junior underwriters and contribute to internal quality assurance audits to maintain underwriting standards.
  • •Review and refine medical, financial, and residency guidelines; provide underwriting expertise for new product development and broader initiatives while identifying process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong underwriting experience in life, disability and critical illness insurance, with at least 5 years specializing in HNW.
  • •University degree or equivalent professional insurance designation preferred (e.g., ALU, FALU).
  • •Proven ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • •Strong understanding of medical, non-medical, and financial principles and practices.
  • •Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
