Key Responsibilities

•Provide executive accountability for clearing and settlement platforms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, resiliency, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
•Define and execute a multi-year GenAI and automation transformation strategy across Clearing, including predictive incident detection, intelligent monitoring/exception handling, and automated reconciliation and audit readiness.
•Embed GenAI across the software development lifecycle (design, engineering, testing, and operations) while making judgment calls on where deterministic approaches must remain.
•Lead multi-year modernization roadmaps aligned to VisaNet evolution, cloud adoption, and service-based architectures, managing tradeoffs between speed, stability, and operational risk.
•Oversee 24x7 always-on operations, incident management, post-incident learning, audits/regulatory engagements, and lead a large distributed engineering organization.

Key Requirements

•12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 10 years with an advanced degree, or at least 8 years with a PhD.
•15+ years of software engineering experience, including senior executive leadership roles.
•Proven experience leading large, globally distributed engineering organizations (100+ engineers).
•Ownership of mission-critical, regulator-visible platforms operating at global scale in payments/financial services or large-scale transaction processing.
•Demonstrated experience driving AI-enabled or automation-led transformation in high-risk operational environments (including hands-on GenAI/ML/advanced analytics in production systems).
