Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments, then road test vehicles to confirm malfunctions.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete Repair Orders and DOT forms accurately using iOS and the TRAIT application, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and/or 5 years of related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
