Job Summary

Serve as the lead legal advisor for designated Mastercard Services product verticals within the Business & Market Insights (BMI) product group. Provide proactive legal guidance across the full product lifecycle, supporting ideation through commercialization, contracting, and retirement. Lead negotiation and structuring of proof of concept, pilot, vendor, licensing, and strategic partnership agreements. Collaborate with Privacy, IP, Regulatory, and Compliance teams and deliver strategic risk analysis and scalable legal best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as primary legal counsel and trusted advisor for assigned BMI product verticals and related business teams worldwide.
•Provide proactive legal guidance across the full product lifecycle, ensuring compliance while enabling innovation.
•Support complex technology, partner, reseller, and strategic commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating agreements (proof of concept/pilots, vendor, licensing, and partnerships).
•Collaborate with Privacy, IP, Regulatory, Compliance, and regional legal teams to address legal and regulatory considerations.
•Provide strategic risk analysis to senior management and contribute to scalable legal best practices and operating models across Services.

•Strategic, business-oriented attorney who can balance legal and regulatory considerations with commercial objectives.
•Ability to serve as primary counsel and trusted advisor for product verticals and related business teams globally.
•Experience providing proactive legal guidance across the full product lifecycle (ideation through commercialization, market expansion, and retirement).
•Ability to support complex technology, partner, reseller, and strategic commercial transactions, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements.
•Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Privacy, IP, Regulatory, and Compliance/legal teams and providing risk analysis to senior management.
