Job Summary

Own reliable production delivery for Salesforce engineering teams and customers running on Alibaba Cloud as part of the Hyperforce on Alibaba Cloud Production Support Engineering team. Detect, investigate, and resolve infrastructure and Java application failures and complex outages, building observability tooling and defining reliability improvements through closed-loop feedback. Spend 50%+ time on proactive automation, monitoring/operational automation, self-healing initiatives, and incident response, while collaborating across development and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Detect, investigate, and resolve system failures and complex outages across infrastructure and Java applications.
•Monitor services, proactively address issues to protect performance/availability, and work with engineering teams on service level objectives.
•Build observability tooling and improve service design and implementation to increase reliability via closed-loop feedback.
•Drive proactive automation and operational excellence, including extending monitoring/operational automation and self-healing/resiliency initiatives.
•Lead during major incidents (e.g., Sev0/Sev1), participate in technical incident review, and facilitate cross-team resolution to eliminate finger-pointing.

Key Requirements

•BS or MS in Computer Science or a related systems engineering technical field.
•5+ years infrastructure and application systems engineering in enterprise-scale internet services, including troubleshooting with logging, distributed tracing, stack traces, and debuggers.
•5+ years configuring and managing public clouds using CLI/SDKs and automation (Alibaba or AWS preferred).
•5+ years in Java, Python, or Go (ability to pick up new languages).
•Experience in Unix/Linux and operating system internals, plus working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and monitoring/alerting design.
