Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare policy briefs, normative guidance, technical documents, talking points, and analytical materials on access to health products, including governance of the pharmaceutical ecosystem.
  • •Coordinate development, revision, and implementation of departmental strategic framework and organization-wide strategic documents aligned with WHO priorities.
  • •Lead coordination and communication across WHO levels; monitor developments related to access to health products and support inputs into organizational strategies and plans.
  • •Analyze and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental initiatives and policies, recommending adaptations or new approaches as needed.
  • •Facilitate management of projects, consultations, and working groups with internal technical units, regional/country offices, and external partners, including planning and documentation of outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced university degree (master's level) in business administration, management, pharmacy, medicine, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • •Minimum of seven years of professional experience in developing policies and strategies and/or project management related to access to medicines and health products.
  • •Experience managing complex projects and working with a range of stakeholders.
  • •Experience with WHO or another UN system organization and international exposure in directly relevant areas.
  • •Expert knowledge of English; intermediate knowledge of French and UN language is desirable.
