Key Responsibilities

  • •Set long-term vision and strategy for how Wealthsimple connects with the broader financial ecosystem.
  • •Define the roadmap and build-vs-partner decisions for capabilities that enable Brokerage & Bank Linking.
  • •Own the end-to-end client experience for linking external bank and brokerage accounts, including automated/manual flows and recovery from failures.
  • •Improve connection success, reliability, and coverage across institutions, and own routing strategy across connectors.
  • •Own the strategy and roadmap for the Public API: authentication, consent, permissions, data access, and partner integrations.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience owning a platform, API, developer product, or integrations platform with metric-attached outcomes (e.g., conversion, success rate, reliability).
  • •Strong technical depth to partner with engineers on APIs, authentication, data models, routing, and platform architecture.
  • •Experience working with external vendors/partners with roadmaps you don’t control, making build-vs-buy decisions and driving vendor accountability.
  • •Treat reliability as product work, including error taxonomies, failure recovery, observability, and managing operational load.
  • •Excellent cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and external partners.
