Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead electrical engineering design work on assigned renewable/BESS projects under guidance of senior staff.
  • •Support Project Engineer/Project Manager with developing electrical engineering design schedules and budgets.
  • •Perform solar PV and BESS design (array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections) for rooftop/carport/ground mount.
  • •Create engineering calculations and construction drawing development (one-lines, network diagrams), including specifications and equipment needs.
  • •Support projects through the full lifecycle from feasibility through detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering (or engineering-related) plus 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) with ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
  • •Strong familiarity with the NEC and related codes/standards (e.g., IBC, NFPA 855), plus utility practices (e.g., NESC, IEEE, PIP).
